This privacy policy applies to the apps created by Glenn Reid — GlennTimer, GSDList, Clockwise, and Step Brother (the “Apps”). It explains what the Apps do and don’t do with your information.
The short version
The Apps are built to respect your privacy. GlennTimer, Clockwise, and Step Brother require no account and keep everything on your device — they don’t collect, transmit, sell, or rent your personal information. GSDList works differently: it requires an account (an email address and password) and syncs the tasks and lists you create to a server, as described below. None of the Apps include third-party advertising or analytics trackers, and none of them sell or rent your personal information.
What each app accesses
- GlennTimer keeps your saved timers (Favorites) and last-used duration on your device. It schedules countdowns and alarms through Apple’s system frameworks locally; nothing is sent to me or to any third party.
- GSDList requires an account: your email address and a password sign you in, and the tasks and lists you create are synced to a server so they’re available across your devices. The email address is used only for your account (including essential messages such as password resets) — never for marketing. GSDList can optionally use your location, only with your permission, to organize location-based tasks; location is never required, and you can decline it and still use the app.
- Clockwise simply displays the time on your Mac. It collects no personal information of any kind.
- Step Brother reads step and activity data from Apple Health (HealthKit), only with your explicit permission. It uses this data solely to calculate and display your averages, trends, and mileage.
Health data (Step Brother)
Step Brother accesses health and fitness data through Apple’s HealthKit framework only after you grant permission, and only to provide the app’s features. This health data is processed entirely on your device. It is never transmitted off your device, shared with third parties, or used for advertising or marketing. You can revoke Step Brother’s access to Health data at any time in the Settings app under Privacy & Security → Health.
Information I do not collect
Aside from the email address and password that GSDList uses for your account, the Apps do not collect names, contacts, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics. GlennTimer, Clockwise, and Step Brother have no accounts to create. There are no third-party SDKs that track you, and no data is ever sold or rented.
Children
The Apps are not directed to children under the age of 13 and do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
